Correct nutrition is crucial to the health of all domesticated animals and birds.
LET’S START WITH A LIST OF THE BENEFITS:
Helps with obesity
Overall physical health
Satisfies their natural instincts
*Breeds for example which require more mental stimulation than average in addition to physical stimulation are the Australian Cattle Dog, Border Collie, Belgian Malinois, Poodle, German Shepherd, Retriever, Doberman Pinscher, Labrador, Rottweiler, Yorkshire Terrier (this list is by no means complete).
Walking, hiking, running, swimming, obedience training and games are great ways to keep your 𝗱𝗼𝗴 and yourself fit and for some surfers, taking their fur kids out on a surfboard (make sure that they have life vests).
There appears to be a growing trend of people walking 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀 on harnesses and taking them along on hikes as well. Breeds of cats which like water and swimming are the Turkish Van, Turkish Angora, Savannah, Bengal, American Bobtail, Japanese Bobtail, Manx, Abyssinian, Norwegian Forest Cat and the Main Coon.
One must be aware of weather and environmental conditions and ensure that the welfare of the animal is of utmost importance.

Challenging toys such as a Kong filled with natural peanut butter, make it fun to find their food. If possible, provide indoor dogs with access to a window through which they can look outside. Short bursts of obedience training and teaching your dog new tricks will also go a long way in keeping them mentally stimulated. You can place their toys in a basket so that they can choose the ones that they want.
Use catnip toys and place them in a basket or box so that they can choose which ones to play with. You can use Kong and similar toys, scratching posts/play centres, cardboard boxes and even make tunnels with boxes to stimulate your cat mentally and physically. Cats are smarter than you may realise so it would be worthwhile to attempt teaching your cats tricks. Catios are a great idea for enabling cats to play safely outdoors.
If you have more than one cat you’ll find bursts of chasing each other provide great exercise and fun.

Provide a big cage and ensure that the cage is escape-proof and includes an exercise whееl, hіdеоut, brіdgе аnd tunnеlѕ to keep your hamster active. Change the layout every couple of months to prevent boredom. Use the correct bedding and make that deep enough so that the hamster can burrow into it. Scatter the food so that the hamster can forage which is a natural activity.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗱
Please get them large cages. Birds are intelligent and very sociable so require a great deal of stimulation and interaction with their owners, engage with them whenever you can and teach them tricks. Appropriate toys with vibrant colours and a variety of textures are great and rotate them every few days. Also, don’t forget to incorporate foraging and puzzle toys.
Allow for flight time regularly (daily if possible) and safely in your home but be sure that the doors and windows are all closed.
